An Aussie Update

Posted by: Jay AKA SugarDaddy

It has been a while since you heard from us boys but I am sure this post, full of adventure and excitement, will make up for the long period of silence.

The three J’s, as we are now known-as world wide, have been soaking up the Aussie sun, although do not worry Mum’s as the Suntan Lotion has been used in great quantities.

Since we left Cairns just over 10 days ago we have been continuing to have lots (and lots) of fun.

Our next stop was Magnettic Island where we continued to party the night away whilst enjoying the daytime admiring the beautiful scenery around us.  Very nice.

From Maggie Island it was a trip down the road to Airlie Beach, although Airlie has no beach just a great old marketing ploy and an excuse to continue that party theme. From Airlie, as planned, we headed to the Harbour for our three day sailing trip across the quite stunning, and I mean stunning, Whitsundays.

From the food on the boat, to the company, to the crew and not forgetting the unforgettable Whitehaven Beach, the ninth best in the world, we had a quite amazing time.  We have several photos but whilst the photographic department are still in hibernation (I am not sure for how long, I might add) Google Whitehaven Beach and dribble away.  This place was incredible.  The softest, purest, whitest sand that I didn’t know existed and the clearest water known to man. Coupled with all of that, some quite spectacular mountain ranges and not a single shop, sunglasses seller or piece of litter in sight. Not bad, eh?

Next stop it was to a Cattle Station in the resort of Kroombit.  It is no city, not even a town but a National Park with a small resort in the middle of nowhere.

The park is home to a number of goats, horses, cows and a variety of local wildlife. During our 24 hour stay we had another great time where we did everything riding horses to muster the goats at 7 a.m., from playing a number of party games and real life goat rodeo in which I spent what seemed like 10 days chasing after the damn thing. Very funny and very good fun.

We are now in the very small city of Rainbow Beach which we are using as a pit stop for the main event in this area - 4 x 4 Jeep driving around the near by Fraser Island.  A short ferry ride tomorrow, then an anticipated two days of exciting driving along the beach, quite literally, camping and lots of partying.

Once more, it has been a very hard period of work leading up to Christmas.  I am sure you are all experiencing the same this time of year. Our thoughts are with each other.

Speak soon,

Jay

All sounds great fun. Looking at the photos of Mount Bromo, can’t believe how cold it must have been - so must be a drastic contrast to be in that intense heat now. Like the blong hair Jay - has it grown out now? Keep up the hard work you guys. Sx
