Buzzing Bangkok
Posted by: Jay AKA SugarDaddyA very, very quick note as I am off out soon and I have to wake Sleeping Beauty AKA Jamie AKA Pesky up after his late night partying caught up with him.
The three of us are still in Bangkok. Surprise, surprise we have become settled again and are having a great time in Thailand’s capital.
During our time here we have:
- Continued our trip with our two Canadian friends Caley and Jenna and have since been accompanied by two more Canuck’s - Caley’s boyfriend Matt and their friend from home Will, who has caught up with the us again after our initial meeting when with the girls at Halong Bay, Vietnam;
- Met up with Paul AKA Dirty Dog for a TripRoast reunion. He has now moved onto Cairn’s, Australia where he told me this morning that “it’s more expensive here but I am having a great time and have already met lots of people”;
- Had one (or two!) night’s out on the tiles;
- Made a visit to the Temple of the Golden Buddha and the Grand Palace - both very impressive;
- Sweated like ‘crazy’ after a Muay Thai Boxing class (I am off to watch a professional fight in about 40 minutes!!);
- Had some male bonding time looking around the shops and local market;
- Done plenty of the three R’s - no not Reading, Writing and Arithmetic but Rest, Relaxation and Recuperation!
- We are planning on leaving Bangkok tomorrow to head to the south of Thailand.

Thought i would drop a line and say hello! Im still waiting for pesky to send me my log on details……… until then i cant make a proper post! I never made it to a thai boxing match unfortunatly - what was it like boys?
Australia is amazing - stunningly beautiful in places. As Sugar daddy mentioned above - yes it is ALOT more expensive than asia! You boys may have a heart attack when you get here! I have only just recovered from the initial shock and my bank account is now suffering instead!
I will keep this short and sweet until i can do a proper post. Common Pesky sort it out for me

Welcome to Thailand and I’m glad that you like Bangkok–I’m now living in BKK but originally from Kalasin(the northeastern part of Thailand) for me, Bangkok is charming itself but noisy n hard to relax sometimes
Anyway, the southern part of Thailand is nice too–hope you have a great time and have a safe trip!!
