It’s Beijing
Posted by: Jay AKA SugarDaddyAfter a pleasant 10 hour train journey from Shanghai, the four of us have arrived safe and sound in China‘a capital city - Beijing.
A 12 bed dorm at the Leo Hostel was pre-booked and initial signs are good with a confortable bed, clean room, nice bar on site and plenty to do in and around the area.
A further update will follow later. We are all too hot (it has been nice to see the sun again after the rain of Shanghai!) and hungry at the moment.

Aaah! A 12 bed dorm
Now the real test begins - how much stuff can Jamie leave lying around and lose?! I am SO envious of you guys - always wanted to go the Great Wall, but even if I managed the steep climb up, I know I would be petrified coming down - but just to see it would be amazing - can’t wait to see your pics. And now you’re in the home of Peking Duck, will it be as good as Rickshaw?
Ok - so now Eastern Europe (Hungary) has moved even further East!! Must be the lack of food that is affecting the geography…..

I hope you find some nice food! There must be so many restaurants to chose from, I guess you just have to take a chance! Is price the only indicator? Paul, have you had your favourite duck dish yet?

hi glad you all arrived safely, just got in from school quiz(YUK) a 12 bed dorm who will snore the loudest!!!!!!! ps it takes alot to beat Rickshaw.
Hi its mike Collugue.. Try out the peking duck as its lovely and dumplings also u must try.. try out the night markets as they have all sorts of food stuff including locusts and other delicaies to offer.. sorry my spelling is poor
